training classes
Puppy classes are an essential step for all new puppy owners. Whether you’ve owned dogs all your life or this is your very first puppy, taking them to classes can be a great way to have fun with your new puppy, help them to be comfortable in new environments around other people and dogs and teach them important life skills. Plus, research shows that puppies who go to puppy classes are less likely to develop problem behaviours or be rehomed later in life.
These friendly and fun small group classes are the perfect place to learn how to train your puppy using kind and effective methods.
We will teach your puppy important skills like:
Recall
Loose lead walking
Settle
Sit and Down positions
Focus
Impulse control
Plus much more!

Puppies can join classes as soon as they have received all their vaccinations, but it’s a good idea to get started with their training straight away! Puppies should be under 20 weeks old at the start of classes. If they are older than this, my Happy Teen classes may be more suitable.
-
Because the classes are outside, your puppy needs to be fully vaccinated before they can join classes. However it is important to get started with your puppy’s tianing as soon as possible, so feel free to reach out if this is the case and we can discuss how I might be able to help you in the meantime.

The puppy classes are held in a secure field near Tulley’s farm. The location is easily accessible from Crawley and the surrounding villages including Maidenbower, Pound Hill, Worth, Pease Pottage, Three Bridges, Forge Wood, Copthorne, Crawley Down, Turners Hill, West Hoathly, Sharpthorne, Felbridge and East Grinstead.

Yes of course! It’s great to get the whole family involved in your new puppy’s training. However if your children are under 6 or need a lot of supervision, it might be better to leave them at home or bring along another adult so that you don’t have too many things to worry about!
-
Every week we will practice teaching your puppy how to settle in different places, walk on a loose lead and come back to you when called. We’ll also cover positions like sit, down and stand, impulse control exercises like stay and leave it and pattern games to improve focus and engagement.

Milo has very much benefited from the classes, they are great classes that are very well planned and fun classes for us and the puppies. They are the perfect size class for the puppies as there is only 4 of them and also the perfect length as well. Couldn’t recommend more!!

The puppy classes have been so easy to follow and Vinnie has come on so much since the first session. Everything is broken down into easy steps and has made it really easy to implement ‘homework’ (the online recaps are super helpful too!) but still having fun- he loves going to the session each week.

Really good, it was great to see Georges focus improving over the weeks that he knew it was time to learn. Loved the relaxed atmosphere.
