Whether you’ve owned dogs all your life or this is your very first puppy, I know you will want to give your puppy the very best start. All of this will set you both up for a happy life together.

happy teen classes - £95

Five weekly group classes with a maximum class size of four dogs per class.

The classes focus on the things that are most important for adolescent dogs and their humans such as building on their basic training, impulse control and engagement.

Fun and practical games and exercises to help your adolescent dog build their skills at home and focus better out on walks.

Access to step by step guides and video demos you can refer back to at any time.

WhatsApp and email support between classes to help you cope with all the usual puppy problems such as biting, toilet training and getting a good nights’ sleep.

Your adolescent dog isn’t trying to give you a hard time, they’re having a hard time.

So you’ve made it through the puppy stage, mastered toilet training and aren’t being bitten every time you move. You might think the hard work is done, but your teenage dog has other ideas! Adolescence is the most common time for dogs to be rehomed, as they stop being a cute fluffy puppy and start testing your patience in whole new ways.

As first time puppy owners we cant recommend Jenny enough. The puppy classes have been so easy to follow and Vinnie has come on so much since the first session. Everything is broken down into easy steps and has made it really easy to implement ‘homework’ (the online recaps are super helpful too!) but still having fun- he loves going to the session each week. The small groups were also really good for us as our pup is easily distracted and this made it much easier for us to get him to focus. Thank you so much jenny!”

Milo has very much benefited from the classes, they are great classes that are very well planned and fun classes for us and the puppies. They are the perfect size class for the puppies as there is only 4 of them and also the perfect length as well. Couldn’t recommend more!!

  • It’s a good idea to get started with your puppy’s training straight away! Usually puppies can join classes as soon as they have received all their vaccinations, but they may even be able to start before then. Puppies should be under 20 weeks old at the start of classes. If they are older than this, Happy Teen classes may be more suitable.

  • Teen classes are most suitable for adolescent dogs between the age of around 6 months and 2 years old. Feel free to get in touch if your dog is slightly older or younger though, as the classes may still be a good fit.

  • Your puppy may still be able to join classes even if they haven’t had all of their vaccinations. It is important to get started with your puppy’s training as soon as possible, so feel free to get in touch if you’d like to discuss when your puppy can join classes or how I might be able to help you in the meantime.

  • Happy Puppy and Happy Teen classes are held at the Forge Wood Community Centre, which is a secure indoor venue. It is easily accessible from anywhere within and around Crawley and there is plenty of parking.

  • Get in touch with me by email at yourpetmentor@gmail.com or WhatsApp on 07598 591562 to find out when the next set of puppy classes will be starting.

  • Don’t worry if you need to miss a class, when you sign up for classes you will get exclusive access to online video demos and step by step guides for everything we cover, so you won’t miss out. If the times don’t suit your schedule or you want to get started sooner, one to one puppy classes might be a better fit. Find out more about my Personal Puppy Classes here.

  • Yes of course! It’s great to get the whole family involved in your new puppy’s training. However if your children are under 6 or need a lot of supervision, it might be better to leave them at home or bring along another adult so that you don’t have too many things to worry about!

  • Every week we will practice teaching your puppy how to settle in different places, walk on a loose lead and come back to you when called. We’ll also cover positions like sit, down and stand, impulse control exercises like stay and leave and pattern games to improve focus and engagement.
