training classes
So you’ve made it through the puppy stage, mastered toilet training and aren’t being bitten every time you move. You might think the hard work is done, but your teenage dog has other ideas! Adolescence is the most common time for dogs to be rehomed as they stop being a cute fluffy puppy and start testing your patience in whole new ways.
The important thing to remember is that your dog isn’t trying to give you a hard time - they’re having a hard time. You may find that you need to take their training back to basics and taking them to classes is a brilliant way to keep on top of their training, tire out their busy brain and help your relationship grow through this tricky time.
These friendly and fun small group classes are the perfect place to learn how to continue your adolescent dog’s training using kind and effective methods.
We will teach your teenage dog important skills like:
Recall
Loose lead walking
Settle
Focus
Impulse control
Plus much more!

Yes of course! It’s great to get the whole family involved in your new dog’s training. However if your children are under 6 or need a lot of supervision, it might be better to leave them at home or bring along another adult so that you don’t have too many things to worry about!

Every week we will practice teaching your dog how to settle in different places, walk on a loose lead and come back to you when called. We’ll also cover impulse control exercises like stay and leave it and pattern games to improve focus and engagement.
